Jeanne Yamamura

Jeanne Yamamura, CPA, MIM, PhD,
is Professor of Auditing and Accounting Information Systems at
University of Nevada at Reno. A strong international interest is
evidenced by three years of Pacific Rim experience and a master's
in international management from ThWIUerbird (American Graduate
School of International Management). Professor Yamamura has over
twenty years of experience in public and private accounting. She
was recently awarded the B. J. Fuller Excellence in Teaching Award.
Jeanne is also one of CPAexcel's contributing authors.

Charles Davis, PhD, CPA, is Professor of Accounting
at California State University - Sacramento. He has authored numerous
publications and an accounting textbook used by many universities.
Charles is the author of CPAexcel's FAR - Intermediate Financial
Accounting section and also serves as the content coordinator for
the course.

Craig Bain, PhD, CPA, has been Professor
of Accounting at Northern Arizona University - Flagstaff since 1991.
He is currently teaching Principles of Accounting: Financial, Intermediate
Accounting,and Accounting Theory. Professor Bain received his Ph.D
from Texas A&M University in 1987 and his BS from California
State University in 1980.

Janet Gillespie

Jan Gillespie is the Associate Chair of the
Department of Accounting at University of Texas - Austin where
she teaches courses in accounting information systems, governmental
accounting, and managerial accounting. She has taught in several
different CPA review courses, including the highly acclaimed UT
Austin Review, since 1986. Her diversified experience includes
private industry and governmental sector accounting, systems analysis,
and taking part in the development and implementation of accounting
systems in both mainframe and microcomputer environments. Jan is
the author of CPAexcel's Accounting for Government & Not-for-Profit
Organizations and Managerial sections.

Christopher Meakin,
MA, JD, BBA, is Assistant Dean and Lecturer in the Department of Mgmt
Science & Information Systems at the University of Texas - Austin.
His areas of expertise include Business Law, E-Commerce and Internet
Governance and Law. He has practiced commercial and business law for
over thirteen years and has taught for over 10 years, first at the
University of Houston Law Center, then at the Jones Graduate School
of Business at Rice University and finally, for the past three years,
at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin.

John E. Karayan

John E. Karayan, JD, PhD, is a Professor of Business at California State
Polytechnic University, Pomona. Formerly a senior executive with a New
York Stock Exchange-listed high tech multinational, Professor Karayan is
a tax attorney with a "Big 8" CPA firm background. John retired
from professional practice to teach 20 years ago, but has remained active
outside academia as an expert witness on accounting and tax issues in complex
business litigation, and as a management consultant to entrepreneurs in
both the public and private sectors. Professor Karayan also has authored
numerous articles; his three most recent books are Strategic Corporate
Tax Planning, State and Local Taxation: Principles and Planning, and Wealth
Forever: the Analytics of Stock Markets. |

Claire Latham

Washington State University
Claire Kamm Latham, PhD, CPA, is Associate Professor of Accounting at Washington
State University where she teaches Intermediate Accounting, Accounting
Information Systems and Auditing. Professor Latham received her BS from
Rutgers University and PhD from Georgia State University. Prior to her
academic career, she worked as an auditor for PriceWaterhouse Coopers and
specialized in financial institutions, governmental entities and construction
accounting. Claire was recently awarded the College of Business and Economics
Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award. |
